Our Commitment to Human-Created Content

Mad Audiobooks is committed to producing authentic, original, and human-created content. We believe that the creative work behind a book and audiobook—including the writing, editing, adaptation, recording, and storytelling—should come from real people and reflect genuine human creativity.

Mad Audiobooks does not permit the use of Generative AI to create written content that we produce.

Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) may not be used to generate, rewrite, expand, paraphrase, or otherwise create written material for Mad Audiobooks projects. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Manuscripts and original written works
• Audiobook scripts and adaptations
• Rewrites or revisions of creative content
• Character dialogue or descriptions
• Book descriptions and summaries
• Marketing and promotional copy
• Social media content created on behalf of Mad Audiobooks
• Website copy and other company content
• Narrator or production materials containing creative writing
• Any other written content intended to be published, distributed, or represented as human-created work by Mad Audiobooks

Content may not be generated by AI and then substantially edited, rewritten, or "humanized" for use as Mad Audiobooks content. The underlying creative writing must originate from a human author.

Mad Audiobooks distinguishes between tools that assist with basic technical tasks and Generative AI that creates written content. In fact we use productive and assistive technology for our proofing as well but never use Generative AI for SFX, voice work, or marketing materials.

Tools used for functions such as spelling or grammar correction, formatting, accessibility, or other non-generative technical assistance may be permitted when they do not generate or substantially rewrite the content.

When in doubt, contributors should disclose the use of a tool and ask Mad Audiobooks before incorporating the resulting material into a project. In full disclosure we use Pozotron which utilizes secured AI Technology to compare our voice recording to the manuscript and tell our proofer where our narrators made mistakes.

Authors, narrators, editors, contractors, and other contributors working with Mad Audiobooks are responsible for ensuring that the content they submit complies with this policy. By submitting written material to Mad Audiobooks for narration and audiobook production, Authors are confirming that the creative content they provide is their own human-created work.

M.A.D. Audiobooks utilizes images and audio samples for public marketing purposes on your behalf. Because these assets are publicly accessible, they are held to stricter content standards than full interior audio.

Please ensure that all Samples, Cover Images, and Metadata are appropriate for general audiences and do not contain:

• Excessive graphic sexual imagery
• Excessive violent imagery
• Explicit language

Please ensure your submitted content does not include any product or service advertisements.

The Only Exception: Reasonable references to additional books or upcoming titles that may be of interest to the listener (e.g., "Look forward to the upcoming title from this author...") are permitted.

Accurate metadata and title descriptions are crucial to making sure listeners find content that meets their expectations. All submitted metadata must accurately reflect what the listener will experience, including BISAC/genre codes.

• Impersonation: Do not replicate the same name, image, or description of another existing creator, or pose as another person, brand, or organization in a misleading manner.
• Malware & Cyber Threats: Do not post, share, or provide instructions on implementing malware or practices designed to harm or gain unauthorized access to systems.
• Phishing: Do not deceptively solicit or collect sensitive personal/financial information.
• Scams: Do not promote financial scams, get-rich-quick schemes, pyramid schemes, or encourage listeners to part with money under false pretenses.
• Elections & Civic Integrity: Do not submit content that manipulates civic processes, misrepresents voting procedures, or suppresses election participation.

Content submitted to M.A.D. Audiobooks must not advocate, glorify, or encourage harm. Prohibited items include:

• Physical Harm & Suicide: Encouraging, promoting, or glorifying suicide or self-harm; inciting serious physical violence against specific targets; or doxxing private financial/identity info.
• Violent Extremism & Terrorism: Materials glorifying hate groups, terrorist organizations, or encouraging/financing acts of violent extremism.
• Hate Speech: Inciting violence or dehumanizing individuals/groups based on race, religion, gender identity/expression, sex, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, veteran status, age, or disability.
• Dangerous Medical Misinformation: False medical claims causing direct public health risks (e.g., claiming serious diseases are hoaxes, advising consumption of bleach, or discouraging official health guidelines).
• Regulated & Illegal Goods: Illicitly promoting the sale of illegal firearms, illegal drugs, or endangered species products.
• Child Abuse & Exploitation: Promoting, soliciting, or depicting child sexual abuse, grooming behaviors, or adult attraction to minors.

Content submitted to M.A.D. Audiobooks may not contain the glorification or advocation of the following themes:
