CAST AND CREW

Evan Jae Smith

VOICE ACTOR | AUTHOR | SOUND EDITOR | BOOTH DIRECTOR |  AUDIO ENGINEER

I have worked on several Audiobooks including educational, devotional, and Memoirs. I can portray a wide vocal range, I naturally have a friendly, honest and youthful voice. I have been told that I come across as bold but thoughtful in my everyday voice. My work in audiobook narration has taught me the ability to hold strong dictation while keeping a casual tone, as well as, how to edit and engineer my own narrations to meet ACX specs. I know the ins and outs of working with ACX and the best way to navigate that confusing world.

I have had the honor of training under Justin Walvrood, Dmitri Michas, Patrick Elkins-Zeglarksi, and Steve Blum. I am a firm beliver that voice over is 20% voice and 80% acting and you can never stop improving on either skill so I am constantly searching for new classes, workshops and trainings in both acting and voice over.

I am constantly striving for more range, but have a penchant for the strange little voices that fit well with gremlins, goblins and smoll creatures. I am also skilled with animal and creature sounds, using not only my voice but everyday items like cups and even paper-towel tubes to enhance the sounds of the creatures. With my training I am able to provide a very young innocent sound to a  friendly elderly woman and a grizzled woman who smokes to much. I also have the capabilities of a preteen male of female. As for accents I can provide Southern, Jersey, north-shore, Essex, and Coloradan Midwest. I am constantly striving to work on new accents and ranges that are not in my repertoire yet.

Mathew Garro

VOICE ACTOR

What to say about myself....

Well, regarding my vocal range, I naturally have a friendly, neighborly and youthful sounding voice. I come across to others as a comforting, yet intellectual speaker, as I use a wide range of vocabulary in my daily speech. It lends me the advantage through dictation, narration, or engaging in a topic of conversation. Having a calming voice also keeps more intricate conversations from sounding boring.

On the other hand, I enjoy stretching myself on highs and lows with more animated ranges. I do also have a deeper range variating from creepy, raspy, bold, sinister, guttural, rough and monstrous. "You have a very Anti-Hero, villainous sounding voice, and you scare the shit out of me sometimes," as quoted by a close friend.

Though I can fit a lot of niche roles, I am always playing around with different accents and mid-ranges to better fit the roles I am attempting to audition for. Always happily accepting direction and quick to pick up on the direction given. There is no one stream I'd like to work in, though I have my favorites. I am continuing to build myself up to be a successful Voice Actor across the whole medium.

Hopefully we can work together in the near future.

Nikolai Wisekal

Exclusive Author

Nikolai Wisekal’s love for storytelling began with his wonderful aunt, whose stories made him laugh, think, and just want to read everything he could get his hands on. His mother also had wonderful editions of the original Grimm fairy tales that he enjoyed as a child. Eventually he began to read series like the Dragonriders of Pern, Lord of the Rings, Foundation Trilogy, and the Dresden Files, which set him on the path to being a fantasy and sci-fi fan for life.

He got the wibbly-wobbly idea that he could learn how to write at the age of 16, thus starting a start/stop pattern as a writer for nearly ten years. After attending DFWCON in 2018 and making friends, he started to dig into everything writing entails--characters, structure, dialogue, and his long hated enemy: grammar. If you asked some of his critique partners, he seemed to either ignore or have a personal vendetta against commas
